History of science societies in Burlington House face eviction

Located in Central London, the historic Burlington House (once home to the Boyle family) currently is host to the Linnean Society, the Society of Antiquaries, the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Royal Astronomical Society, the Royal Academy of Arts and the Geological Society.

Each of these groups is facing substantial rent increases, which apparently will threaten their continuation at Burlington House. See https://thecritic.co.uk/issues/march-2021/putting-a-price-on-scholarship/

One of the groups, the Linnean Society, established in 1788, is encouraging UK residents to contact their MPs and is focusing on the political campaign (for more detail, see https://www.linnean.org/the-society/savebh/how-you-can-help).
