The Department of History at The University of Scranton invites applications for a tenure-track position in the History of Science and Medicine, beginning fall 2020. A Ph.D. in History (in hand by August 31, 2020), teaching experience and publications in the field of History of Science and Medicine are all preferred. Primary responsibilities for the successful candidate include developing and teaching courses in the History of Science and Medicine. Other courses may include survey courses in the finalist’s area of expertise, as well as the department’s HIST 190 Digital History and HIST 290 The Craft of the Historian. Pre-tenure teaching load is 3/3.
