The Department of History invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, tenure track Assistant Professor position. This position will primarily be focused on Medieval and early modern History, as well as survey courses in Western Civ and/or world history.

 

Position Duties:
40% Teaching
Position will teach five courses a year, consisting of lower division surveys, upper-division offerings and other appropriate courses in area of specialization.

40% Research
Position is expected to have an active publication agenda that will lead to the publication of a significant monograph and journal articles.

20% Service
Position will provide service at Department, School, College and University levels.

 

Minimum/Required Qualifications:
-PhD in History.
-Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching and scholarship.
-Research and teaching interests in Early Modern or Medieval History.
-Preferred Qualifications:
-A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
