History in the Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde is offering a doctoral studentship in the INSPRE (Interdisciplinary Sustainable Practices of Research in Energy) programme. The candidate will have a strong undergraduate and postgraduate background in the history of science and technology and/or science and technology studies and will engage in interdisciplinary research across all four faculties of the University of Strathclyde. The candidate will register in the PhD History programme and will be supervised by Dr. Matthew N. Eisler and co-supervised by other INSPRE principals in the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, and Strathclyde Business School. As part of their applications candidates will propose a project of interdisciplinary research addressing themes at the intersection of energy, environment, and public policy.
