Full Professor of East Asian History
The School of Humanities invites outstanding academics with proven track records in teaching, research and academic management and administration to apply for a faculty position as Full Professor in East Asian History. The region and time period of specialisation is open. However, to complement the existing strengths of our programme, we especially seek applicants with interdisciplinary strengths in the history of science, technology, medicine, the environment or business. Historical approaches with transnational and global dimensions are also welcome. Candidates should possess a background and a distinguished track record of publications in East Asian Studies or East Asian History.
The successful applicant is expected to provide academic leadership in the subject area of History within the School of Humanities and to engage actively in research, teaching, and service.
The History programme currently offers a Major and a Minor in History, and MA and PhD programmes by research.
