The American Institute of Physics is seeking a full-time temporary Research Assistant to join the Center for History of Physics department for Fall 2015. The successful candidate will work with the Director of the Center for History of Physics, to research and develop information on the history of women and minorities in physics and allied sciences. Collect and analyze information related to women and minorities in physics and allied sciences. Produce reports including information on AIP Member Society diversity programs. The position is expected to last through December 31, 2015.
A Master’s degree in History of Science or enrollment in Master’s degree program in History of Science is required. A degree in Physics or related science is a plus. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential. Must have knowledge of academic publishing and citation and ability to access library-based information sources.
