The Material and Visual Worlds Transdisciplinary Area of Excellence (TAE) at Binghamton University-SUNY invites applications for a full-time, tenured appointment in science and technology studies (STS), at the rank of Associate Professor. This position will have a departmental berth, depending on the nature of the successful candidate’s research and teaching program, in, for example, Anthropology, History, or Sociology.

Candidates must have excellent records of teaching and scholarship, with a strong history of publishing, and a distinguished scholarly reputation. Research should speak across traditional academic disciplines, especially in the humanities and social sciences. The scholar will join a vibrant and growing STS community on campus. We seek candidates interested in making a significant contribution to the development of the Material and Visual Worlds TAE as an area of intensive research and teaching.
