The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Program in Buddhist Studies
The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) announces the third year of an initiative supporting research and teaching in Buddhist studies funded by a three-year grant of $6.7 million fromThe Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation. Working with the Foundation, ACLS offers an articulated set of fellowship and grant competitions that will expand the understanding and interpretation of Buddhist thought in scholarship and society, strengthen international networks of Buddhist studies, and increase the visibility of innovative currents in those studies.
Starting this year The Foundation offers a new set of research fellowships for PhDs at any stage of their careers. The new Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Research Fellowships in Buddhist Studies compliment the other program components to make the Program in Buddhist Studies a comprehensive initiative for encouraging and enabling the finest work by scholars in the field.

- The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowships in Buddhist Studies
- The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Collaborative Research Fellowships in Buddhist Studies
- The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Research Fellowships in Buddhist Studies
- The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Distinguished Visiting Professorships in Buddhist Studies — The guidelines of this program are presently being revised and will be posted no later than September 1, 2015.
These are global competitions. There are no restrictions as to the location of work proposed or the citizenship of applicants.
