The College of Letters & Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The fellow will be housed in the Department of History and supported by the Center for the Humanities. The fellow will begin on August 19, 2019, and will teach a total of three undergraduate courses over two years, with no teaching in the first semester of the fellowship. Applicants must hold a doctorate in history or relevant degree program by the start of the appointment. We seek applications from scholars with expertise in the history of science, medicine, and/or the environment, from the early modern to contemporary period, in any geographic area. Competitive applicants will have a strong research profile and proven record of teaching at the undergraduate level.
