Technology’s Stories is pleased to announce a competition for the best graduate student papers presented at the SHOT Annual Meeting in St. Louis (October 2018). We invite all graduate student presenters to participate! A prize of $250 will be awarded to each of the top four papers and the winning papers will be featured in a special “Best of SHOT: The Next Generation” issue of Technology’s Stories in 2019.
The competition is open to graduate student presenters at the SHOT 2018 meeting. For the purposes of this competition, graduate students include both those still enrolled in graduate programs, and presenters who have completed a Ph.D. no earlier than July 1, 2018.
Rules for the Competition
Each paper submission should be accompanied by a cover letter requesting participation in the competition. The letter must include the title of the paper, author name, conference panel name, email address, graduate school affiliation, and abstract (No more than 150 words).
The maximum length of an eligible paper shall be 2500 words, not counting abstract, references, tables, and figures.
The deadline for submissions is November 16, 2018.
Each of the submissions will be evaluated by Technology’s Stories Editor-in-chief (Suzanne Moon), Associate Editor (Con Diaz), and Assistant Editors Kera Allen and Mario Bianchini. To receive full recognition for participation, submissions must meet deadlines and participants must be included in the SHOT 2018 annual meeting program.
