Name: PhD Scholarship – Merchants and Museums. The Natural History Trade

Applications are sought for a PhD Scholarship that forms part of a large interdisciplinary project funded by the Australian Research Council entitled, ‘Reconstructing museum specimen data through the pathways of global commerce’. The PhD project will analyse the growth of the natural history trade in zoological specimens from the Linnean period (c.1758) to its demise in the early twentieth century.
Applicants should possess a history, economics, or anthropology 1st class honours or masters degree, preferably with some experience handling descriptive data and/or archival sources. Further details and how to apply can be found via:
