The Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge is the largest of its kind in the UK, and has an unrivalled reputation for teaching and research. The staff has expertise in the history, philosophy and sociology of a wide range of sciences and medicine. They run major research projects in association with the AHRC, the Wellcome Trust, the European Research Council and national museums.
