The Spatial & Digital History network at the European Social Science History Conference welcomes papers on all aspects of the use of new technologies to study the past. These include:
- Historical GIS
- Spatial humanities
- History and computing
- Digital history
Themes of particular relevance include – but are not limited to – the following:
- Urban history
- Historical demography
- Textual analysis and other qualitative sources
- Social network analysis
- European data infrastructure and integration
- Crowdsourcing historical data
- 3D modelling of history and heritage
- Histories of health and mortality
- Transport history
- Rural and environmental history
- Religious history
- The creation, curation and dissemination of humanities digital resources
- The future of digital history
- Big data and born-digital data
