Call for papers
Abstracts are invited for research in history of medicine, healthcare, and related topics for oral presentations and posters as well as thematic panels. This symposium addresses graduate students, PostDocs, and independent scholars.
Keynote: Professor David Zimmerman (Victoria): “Canada and the Refugees from Nazi Germany in Science, Technology and Medicine” (working title)
Featured Lecture: Professor Paul Stortz (Calgary): “’ Citadels of Freedom’? Refugee Professors and the Canadian Society for the Protection of Science and Learning at the University of Toronto, 1935-1946”
Papers/oral presentations are normally about 15-20 minutes in duration followed by 10-15 minutes for discussion. Thematic panels may consist of 3 or 4 platform papers submitted together on a specific theme. All submitted abstracts will be refereed by the program committee. Abstracts should be 150-200 words maximum and sent to: Frank Stahnisch firstname.lastname@example.org or Amber Porter email@example.com no later than 8 March 2015.
Along with the abstract, we will also need the following information:

- Equipment Needed:
- Has this paper been published or presented before? If yes, provide details.
- Preference: Platform? Poster? (Posters should be no larger than 4×4 ft.)
