The European University Institute is looking for candidates with a
distinguished record of scholarly publications and experience in
postgraduate teaching and doctoral supervision, to fill A Chair in History
of Science (HEC1)
The department of History and Civilization invites applications for a Chair
in History of Science. Preference will be given to candidates who have a
broad range of experience in the history of science and scientific practices
in Europe and the world (including social sciences, medicine, environment,
technology), able to cover a wide range of topics in the long term.
Candidates with an orientation towards interdisciplinary and collaborative
research are strongly invited to apply. The chair will be available from
September 2013.
The contract is for five years, renewable for a further three years. The
