The Society: Donors to the Society 2000 - 2004
The list of names and organizations below represent those who have made
monetary contributions to the HSS over the past 5 years. Although the Society is currently involved in matching a Challenge Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, we wish to recognize all of those who have helped support a broad array of HSS activities. This list represents donations directed toward annual-meeting activities, various prize funds, the general endowment, a matching grant from the Hazen-Polsky Foundation, and the NEH Challenge Grant in support of the Society's bibliographic efforts.
More than 400 people and organizations have donated money to the HSS since 2000. As mentioned above, our current focus is on the National Endowment for the Humanities' Challenge Grant. The funding will help us provide a stable financial foundation for the Isis Current Bibliography.
